At Studysom Academy, we welcome passionate educators, professionals, and experts who want to share knowledge with learners across Somalia and beyond. To ensure quality, fairness, and professionalism, all teachers must follow the rules outlined below:
- Eligibility
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must have subject expertise, proven qualifications, or relevant professional experience.
- Must demonstrate clear communication and teaching skills.
- Course Content Standards
- Courses must be original, accurate, and aligned with Studysom Academy’s learning goals.
- Content should be practical, engaging, and relevant to the Somali and international context.
- No plagiarism, copyrighted material without permission, or misleading information is allowed.
- Sensitive or harmful content (violence, hate speech, political propaganda, or discrimination) is strictly prohibited.
- Teaching Quality
- Teachers must prepare structured lessons with clear objectives.
- Courses should include explanations, examples, exercises, and assessments where applicable.
- Language of instruction must be professional (Somali and/or English).
- Teachers are responsible for updating their courses regularly to keep them relevant.
- Professional Conduct
- Respect all learners, fellow instructors, and Studysom Academy staff.
- No use of offensive or abusive language in courses or interactions.
- Avoid conflicts of interest, unethical promotions, or misleading claims.
- Responsibilities
- Respond to student questions or feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that uploaded files, videos, and materials are clear and free from technical issues.
- Comply with deadlines and quality reviews set by Studysom Academy.
- Payment & Revenue Sharing
- Teachers will receive payments according to the agreed revenue-sharing policy.
- Payment will be processed monthly through approved channels (e.g., bank transfer, mobile money).
- Fraudulent practices (fake enrollments, misleading sales tactics) will result in account termination and withheld payments.
- Intellectual Property
- All courses remain the intellectual property of their creators, but by uploading, teachers grant Studysom Academy a license to host, market, and distribute them.
- Teachers may not remove their courses without giving a 30-day prior notice.
- Review & Monitoring
- All courses will go through a review process before publication.
- Studysom Academy reserves the right to remove courses or suspend teachers who fail to comply with these rules.
- Termination of Agreement
- Teachers who violate these rules may have their accounts suspended or terminated.
- Repeated or severe violations may result in a permanent ban.
